Hagekrets is a garden planning studio based at Markveien 35 in Oslo. We work with homeowners, housing cooperatives, and small property developers who want outdoor spaces that are beautiful, practical, and built to last through Norwegian winters.

Our approach combines editorial clarity with horticultural knowledge. Every plan considers soil conditions typical of Oslo clay and bedrock, the shade patterns of compact urban plots, and the realities of snow removal and path maintenance.

What we believe

Gardens should require less lawn mowing, less watering, and less chemical intervention — not more. We favour planting beds over turf, permeable paths over impermeable paving, and native or naturalised species that support local pollinators.

Whether you have a 200 m² suburban plot in Nordstrand or a 30 m² courtyard in Grünerløkka, we treat every project with the same attention to detail.

Planning gardens where frost lines, drainage, and daylight matter.

Local expertise

We know Oslo's boroughs, soil types, and municipal planting guidelines. Our plans account for local bylaws on tree removal, fence heights, and stormwater management.

Seasonal thinking

Four-season design is not an afterthought. Structure planting, evergreen backbones, and snow-clearance paths are planned from the first sketch.
